trans-o-flex group finishes integration of Scherübl

Specialist for active temperature-controlled transport of pharmaceuticals acts as trans-o-flex ThermoMed Austria

Scherübl Transport, the Austrian provider of logistic services with a focus on the actively temperature-controlled transportation of sensible pharmaceuticals, finished its integration into the trans-o-flex group.

Since 28 February 2012, the company has been operating under the name of trans-o-flex ThermoMed Austria GmbH. “It was our intention to underline our affiliation with a strong group of companies, which provides its special services for the pharmaceutical industry not only in Austria but also in Germany, the Benelux countries as well as, since recently, France and Denmark”, says Franz Scherübl, Sr.

The founder of Scherübl Transport had sold the majority of shares already in 2008. He still holds some of them and will remain a member of the Management Board of trans-o-flex ThermoMed Austria. “As a part of the trans-o-flex logistic group we can not only offer our services outside Austria, but also benefit from the innovations and process improvements of our German colleagues and have the financial power of trans-o-flex’s holding company Österreichische Post, which is especially important as regards further investments in our network,” he emphasises on the advantages of the integration.

The new appearance of trans-o-flex ThermoMed Austria is implemented step by step. “We start where we have the most contacts to our customers – our drivers and vehicles“, explains Scherübl. Therefore, the vehicles’ design and inscription will be changed gradually within the scope of the procurement of new or replacement vehicles. In order to match the drivers’ appearance as well, all of the specialists for the last mile were given ThermoMed service uniforms. The pharmaceutical specialist’s business equipment as well as the Internet presence will be adjusted accordingly.
