Transport company Thomas Spiegl insolvent

Bankruptcy proceedings on Tyrolean transport company at Innsbruck Regional Court opened

The transport company Thomas Spiegl from Thaur, Tyrol is bankrupt. On 5 September the bankruptcy proceedings about the assets of the transport company at the Regional Court of Innsbruck was opened. Lawyer Dr. Markus Kostner from Innsbruck was ordered as liquidator. The first audit and reporting day statute is scheduled for 31 October 2012. The legal deadline for creditor claims runs until 17 October, as the KSV1870 informed.

The company was founded in 1970 and specialises in refrigerated and food transport in Austria, northern Italy and southern Germany. The company-owned fleet consists of approximately 20 trucks. Thomas Spiegel took over the transport company from his father in 2000. According to company data they had around 30 employees lately. The bankruptcy petition was filed by the Health Fund contribution as a result of overdue debts. The debtor had to struggle with liquidity shortages in the last two years. Whether and under what conditions a continued operation is possible, or whether a debt under a reorganization plan would be possible is to be tested.
