UASC and Hanjin introduce West Africa services

Weekly departures from Valencia with UASC and Hanjin Shipping’s WAF 1 Service

Named WAF 1, the United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) and Hanjin Shipping are introducing a new regular service to West Africa. Point of departure is the port of Valencia. Container vessels with a capacity of 1,700 TEU will depart in a weekly rhythm. For this service consignments are accepted from the Mediterranean area, from Asia and from loading ports at the U.S.-East Coast.

The service jointly operated by UASC and Hanjin Shipping provides clients a direct link from Valencia to Lagos Apapa (Nigeria), Cotonou (Benin), Tema (Ghana) and Abidjan (Ivory Coast). Moreover transportation services for container consignments to destinations in West African hinterland are available. The shipping agency Dolphin Shipping in Vienna is the Austrian agent of UASC.
