ROAD & RAIL Int. SpeditionsgmbH headed by Norbert Grohmann has evolved into a special service provider of European-wide container transportations
ROAD & RAIL Int. SpeditionsgmbH with its headquarters in Vienna celebrated its 20-years jubilee on 2 April 2011. The enterprise offers European-wide container transportations, divided into the business segments northern ports (Benelux)-trucking, southern ports-trucking, bilateral trucking ex Vienna and Budapest as well as several rail services from the northern and southern ports. They are exclusively servicing forwarding companies, shipping companies, shipping agencies and logistics companies. In 2010 ROAD & RAIL transported more than 16,000 TEU or around 9,400 container shipments from/to Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Trieste and Koper in 55 container chassis. “Volume has almost tripled in the past seven years“, says 47-years old company founder and managing sole associate Norbert Grohmann in the interview with the Austrian transport magazine LogEASTics. According to him 11 employees generated an annual turnover at EUR 8.6 million.
