airberlin flies to Kaliningrad from 5 June 2012

Russian exclave Kaliningrad to be added to airberlin’s schedule this summer
 
Austrian customers and business partners of the airline airberlin will be offered a direct service from Berlin to Kaliningrad starting on 5 June 2012. The Russian exclave between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic Sea will be initially called three times a week – every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday ex Berlin. Starting 15 September a service on Saturdays will complete the offer. Through the Berlin hub connections are available to cities such as Dusseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt or Munich, and European connecting flights depart from these major cities to Vienna, Milan, or Paris.
 
The airberlin brand stands for Germany’s second biggest airline. The enterprise has 9,200 employees. The fleet comprises 170 aircraft at the average age of five years. The route network covers 162 destinations in 40 countries.
