DB Schenker Logistics expandsits presence in China

15 new DB Schenker sites by the end of the year in all of China’s key economic regions:

DB Schenker Logistics, the logistics division of Deutsche Bahn, is further strengthening its network in China. A total of 15 new sites are to be opened there by the end of this year. These will include locations in cities in the coastal regions as well as in new economic centers, such as Urumqi, Hohhot, Mianyang and Weihai. Offices were opened in Zhangjiagang, Huzhou and Shaoxing in June. An additional office was opened in Yiwu in central China in mid-August. The representative office in Dongguan in southern China has just been converted to a branch office.

DB Schenker has been present in China for more than 45 years and is currently active at over 50 sites with some 4,600 employees. "We combine local presence with our worldwide network, thus ensuring consistent high quality of services and solutions, in line with global standards for our customers‘ supply chains, from the source to the destination", said Dr. Thomas C. Lieb, Chairman of the Board of Management of Schenker AG and responsible for global air and ocean freight activities.
