DFDS Seaways: New route from Russia to Germany

DFDS Seaways’ ro-pax liner service offers weekly departures from Kiel and Sassnitz to Uust Luga in the Russian Federation:

 

The DFDS Seways shipping company is adding a new ro-pax liner service to its schedule on the corridor between Germany and Russia. The recently launched operation from Uust Luga to Kiel and Sassnitz completes the service on the route from Kiel to Karlhamn and St. Petersburg. Departures are operated in a weekly frequency with the ro-pax vessel named “KAUNAS“. Every departure can provide capacities for the shipment of 90 rail wagons or 1,600 loading metres for trailers and rolling stock.

DFDS Seaways operates a network of 30 routes in northern Europe, deploying 60 freight and passenger vessels. Together with its sister subsidiary DFDS Logistics the enterprise forms the DFDS Group headquartered in the Danish capital Copenhagen. Established in 1866 the corporate group with 5,000 employees in 20 countries generated a turnover at EUR 12 billion DKK (EUR 1.6 billion) in the fiscal year 2010.
