Emirates adds Vietnam to its global network

Ho Chi Minh City to be served by daily non-stop flights from Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The Dubai-based international airline Emirates continues its expansion in South East Asia. From 4 June 2012 Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam will be integrated into its global network. During the initial stage the passenger service will be operated with an Airbus A330-200; from 28 October 2012 it will be replaced with a Boeing 777-300 ER.

Operating as EK 390 the daily non-stop flight will depart Dubai International Airport at 9.25 a.m. arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 7.20 p.m. The return flight EK 391 will depart at 8.50 p.m. arriving in Dubai at 00:45 a.m. the following day. Ho Chi Minh City, with over seven million inhabitants, is deemed as the commercial capital of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

Through SkyCargo Emirates has had an active presence in the market for a number of years. Vietnamese exports range from tablet PCs, smartphones and printers to garments, sportswear and shoes. With a fleet of 168 aircraft and the largest A380 fleet in the world, with 20 in service, Emirates currently flies to 117 destinations in 69 countries.
