Competition forces FT&L Cargo into the knees

FT&L Cargo GmbH (Gries): Bankruptcy proceedings opened on own application at the regional court Landesgericht Salzburg

On 5 January the bankruptcy proceedings about the assets and liabilities of FT&L-Cargo GmbH were opened by own application at the regional court Landesgericht Salzburg. At this date the enterprise based in Gries im Pinzgau had assets of EUR 103,000 and liabilities amounting to EUR 780,000. According to the association for the protection of creditors KSH 1870 the insolvency concerns 14 employees and 22 creditors.

According to the management the fierce competitive situation in transport business caused this insolvency. The current scenario impeded the generation of turnover, which was essential to maintain operations. Due to price increases customers were lost, which had a negative impact on the company’s liquidity.

FT&L-Cargo is a transport enterprise specialising on load traffic between Austria and northern Italy. The focus lies on transport of cut lumber to Italy. In the other sense tiles, marble and natural stone transport from northern Italy to Austria and Bavaria dominate the business. Tile logistics from Modena has lately been the special focus.
