Emirates approaching its fifth destination in Pakistan

Sialkot International Airport in the north of Pakistan to be integrated into Emirates’ route network; four daily flights ex Dubai from November
 
Based in Dubai, the Emirates international airline will approach Sialkot International Airport in the north of Pakistan. The new liner service is to be launched on 5 November 2013, offering four weekly flights. The Dubai-Sialkot route is operated with Airbus A330-200 jets in a two-class configuration. Cargo hold is 17 tonnes.
 
Sialkot is Emirates’ fifth destination in Pakistan. In 1985 the airline started approaching Karachi as their first destination in Pakistan and offers today 35 weekly flights between the city and their hub in Dubai. In 1998 they started operating the route to Peshawar. In 1999 they launched flights to Lahore and Islamabad. Sialkot is the capital of the district of the same name and is located in the north-east of the province of Punjab, 125 kilometres north of Lahore. The catchment area of the new destination includes the regions Gujrat, Sialkot and Gujranwala.
