Emirates SkyCargo enhances offering from Frankfurt to Brazil

Emirates SkyCargo starts operating a third weekly Boeing 777 freighter from Frankfurt to Sao Paulo Viracopos on 16 September:

Customers of Emirates SkyCargo will be able to profit from increased cargo capacity between Germany and South America. The airline from the United Arab Emirates is set to add a third weekly freight flight from Frankfurt to São Paulo from 16 September 2011. The destination is Viracopos International Airport in Campinas, which is the most important cargo airport in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. By enhancing its offer Emirates wants to meet the growing demands of the trade routes between UAE, Germany and Brazil.

Emirates SkyCargo has been serving Campinas, in the north-west of the state of São Paulo, since October 2010. The airline operates currently two weekly 747-400 freight flights from Frankfurt. From September Boeing 777 freighters will be deployed, each providing 103 tons of air cargo capacity. The third flight increases the weekly cargo capacity between Frankfurt and Brazil to a maximum of 309 tons. The service starts from Dubai via Frankfurt to Viracopos.

Emirates SkyCargo is calling more than 110 destinations in 60 countries throughout the world. In the fiscal year 2010/11 more than 140 passenger jets and eight freight machines (three Boeing 747-400 jets, two Boeing 747-400ERF, one Boeing 747 SF and two Boeing 777-F) transported around 1.8 million tons of goods. The Emirates SkyCargo offers products ranging from the transport of priority shipments, dangerous goods, living animals, temperature sensitive freight, valuables and air mail.
