Eurodis launches daily liner service from/to Croatia

Eurodis network for parcels and combined freight expanded to Croatia with the support of the partner Overseas Express

Launching daily transport services for shipments ranging from 1-kg parcels to 800-kg pallets (combined freight) between Germany and Croatia, the Eurodis network is responding to the EU-accession of the Balkan republic on July 1. Carsten Siebe, managing director at Eurodis GmbH: “Cut lead times and the removal of customs duties make direct deliveries to Croatian consignees interesting for central European shippers.”

The Croatian partner and shareholder of Eurodis is Overseas Express, the market leader in the combined freight sector in the imminent EU-membership country and a 100% subsidiary of the Austrian Post. “We have been a member of the Eurodis network since 2010”, explains Boris Brkovic, CEO at Overseas Express. “Based on this stable cooperation we have finalised operational adjustments and are looking forward to new and improved conditions.” Brkovic expects “an essential increase in international volumes, especially on imports from other EU countries as a result of the removal of customs duties.“

Strong national providers of logistics services from all over Europe joined together in the European distribution network Eurodis to develop internationally specialised industry solutions for their customers and implement these without having to lower their sights when it comes to quality. Together they cover 34 European countries. All members are able to promptly, efficiently and safely transport shipments ranging from 1-kg parcels to 800-kg pallets (combined freight) without any breaks in the system. Additionally, numerous regional services such as pick-up orders, COD or hazardous goods are offered to a broad range of destinations. The Eurodis-lead company is located in Weinheim.
