pfenning logistics moves to new logistics site in Baden-Württemberg
pfenning group celebrates completion and inauguration of ‚multicube rhein-neckar’ logistics centre on 27 June 2013
The pfenning group relocate their company headquarters to a new site in Heddesheim, Baden-Württemberg. On 27 June 2013 the ‚multicube rhein-neckar’ logistics centre will be inaugurated in the presence of about 400 guests from politics, industry, science and the municipality.
The logistics centre situated in Heddesheim, northern Baden-Württemberg, which will be the company’s headquarters at the same time, is a modern multi user-logistics premises on a total area of 200,000 m². In addition to the about 128,000 m² multi user-logistics complex, the new pfenning headquarters accommodate also a 3,500 m² administrative building, equipped with modern IT infrastructure, working space and conference rooms, as well as a connected parking area with about 120 slots. Planning and design of the property was made with respect to strict ecological guidelines. The first turn of the sod was made in November 2011; the construction period was 12 months.
At the new site the pfenning group will provide services such as warehousing, value added services, goods handling and transport for customers like BASF, Mondeléz International, and a reputable beverages producer and a discounter. pfenning Logistik GmbH is a company of the Heddesheim-based KMP Holding GmbH, employing total staff of 1,650 persons at 40 locations. The holding company operates 200,000m² warehousing space in total and a fleet of about 800 vehicles.
