Felbermayr group (Wels) shows environmental consciousness
Another award for the heavy haulage specialist Felbermayr from the fire brigades
Apart from taking care of heavy transportations, the Felbermayr group worries also about the environment and fire brigades; therefore they received an award once again. For the fourth time the company was awarded „Feuerwehrfreundliches Unternehmen“ („fire brigade-friendly enterprise“) by Land Oberösterreich, this time for 2010. “The cooperation between industry and fire brigade forms an important basis for the future and safety", said commander fire chief Franz Humer from the volunteer fire department Wels when giving the award to the Felbermayr representatives. Felbermayr has made its name with intelligent and environmentally friendly heavy transportations by combining road, rail and waterway. The fleet covers several thousand vehicles. New within the fleet are two electronic cars, used for city business trips for facility cleaning and disposal at the Wels fair area. They can cover a distance of around 150 kilometres, which is however considerably reduced when the heating is on. In turn, the substantially lower noise emission is a very positive effect for the use at the fair. „We are open to future developments“, emphasises DI Horst Felbermayr. Since the start of the year 2011 the waste disposal division of Felbermayr is full service provider of the Messe Wels. Horst-Rainer Felbermayr, who took over the company management from his father in 1967 and together with his wife Gattin Gisela expanded the company to its today’s size, was honoured with the professional title „Kommerzialrat“.
