Frankfurt Airport serves as new European hub for Air India

Air India freighter to fly regularly from Frankfurt to Asia

Since the beginning of April the Frankfurt Airport hosts the European hub of Air India. The Indian airline bundles passenger and freight flows at the German airport, which come from Delhi and Mumbai and require connections towards New York/Newark and Chicago. The aim of the Management is to ideally position the company as a provider of regular services for passengers and air freight between south-eastern Asia, Europe and the U.S. (v.v.). In their routes from Frankfurt to India and North America Air India has a weekly air freight capacity of 380 tons. Freight-only machines of the Airbus A310F type are starting their flights from the Rhine-Main airport to Asia three times weekly.
