Gevelco-companies about to be renamed
In the future the affiliation of the Gevelco-organisation to the Rotterdam-based Broekman Group will be expressed even stronger. The basis therefore will created by the change of the company name on January 1st, 2009. Gevelco DistriPort is to become Broekman DistriPort. Gevelco Project Service and Gevelco Inland Shipping will change their names into Broekman Project Service and Broekman Inland Shipping. The three companies form the Broekman Special Products Division under the control of Frank van der Gevel. At the Britanniahaven in Rotterdam Broekman DistriPort operates an „All Weather Terminal“ for the secure handling and manipulation of steel products and NE-metals. The Broekman Project Logistics-company is acting as a competence centre for the handling of project cargoes and the dispatch of heavy cargo with a maximum weight of 750 tons per piece.
