Hödlmayr International defied the crisis in 2009

Vehicle logistician Hödlmayr International reports positive results in spite of considerable declines in turnover

The difficult business year 2009 took a conciliatory end for the vehicle logistician Hödlmayr International AG (HIAG). In spite of declining turnover and quantity the enterprise achieved positive results. “Synergies in the European-wide network of the Hödlmayr companies and a full service offer for the automotive industry, comprising a lot of highly innovative services and concepts, allowed for this result“, explains Johannes Hödlmayr, spokesman of the HIAG Management Board.

Turnover of the family-run company with its headquarters in Schwertberg in Upper Austria amounted to EUR 150 million (2008: around EUR 190 million) in the reporting period. With 500 special car transporters and a block train concept they delivered 750,000 units. Acting as releasing agent, the enterprise handled around 670,000 vehicles on behalf of numerous reputable customers from the automotive industry.

Hödlmayr International AG and their subsidiaries in thirteen European countries (including the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Romania) employ more than 1,200 persons. The total area of 1.4 million sq. m. offers place for the interim storage of 75,000 new or used vehicles.
