ICF expands service range between Basel and Rotterdam

Intercontainer-Interfrigo’s “Erasmus Shuttle“ starts with one rotation per week

Intercontainer-Interfrigo SA (Basel), operator of unaccompanied, combined road/rail transport, enhances its service between Basel and Rotterdam. On 17 February the “Erasmus Shuttle“ made its maiden tour. The schedule offers one rotation per week. With the change of the schedule by the mid of April, it is planned to double the offer. The Terminal Basel Bad. UBF was selected as point of departure and arrival for Switzerland. It has an EU and a Swiss customs office.

In the south-north direction the “Erasmus-Shuttle“ is currently operated on Wednesdays ex Basel Bad. UBF; closing time for cargo: 4 p.m.. The train is scheduled to arrive on Thursday 11 a.m. in Rotterdam RSC and at 2 p.m. in Rotterdam Maasvlakte. In the opposite direction closing for cargo is on Mondays 9 a.m. at Maasvlakte and 2 p.m. at RSC. On Wednesdays 8 a.m. load units are ready for collection in Basel Bad. UBF. In total Intercontainer-Interfrigo operates six shuttle trains on the Basel-Rotterdam axis v. v. per week.
