Post.at pushes parcel and logistics business

Austrian Post wants to use potential of growth segments

Österreichische Post AG (Austrian Post Group) is placing an increasing focus on the parcel and logistics business. In addition to the core business, the enterprise wants to use the potential of these growth segments. On 18 February the Management announced initiatives to expand the activities in the fields of combined freight, temperature-controlled logistics and B2B/B2C parcels in Austria, Germany as well as in South/East Europe. The target is a growth of the parcel business – with a focus on foreign subsidiaries – ranging between 6 and 9 per cent per year.

“We have set ambitious goals. To reach them, we will rearrange the complete enterprise, and particularly our business in Austria from the ground up. There will be a stronger focus on customer-orientation. We will decisively face risks from e-substitution and liberalisation, and continue to use our growth opportunities“, said CEO Georg Pölzl at the presentation of the medium-term plans and strategies. According to the report Austrian Post Group targets a growth in turnover of 1 to 2 per cent per year and a sustainable EBITDA margin of 10 to 12 per cent.
