Montan Spedition constructs new warehouse in Fürnitz

Increasing demand of customers of warehousing capacity for loose bulk goods motivates Montan Spedition to construct a new hall in Fürnitz:

Constructing a new hall at the location in Fürnitz/Villach-Süd the Montan Spedition forwarding company responds to the growing demand of customers for dry warehousing areas for loose bulk cargo. On a total covered area of 1,500 m² 14 separated warehouse boxes, each of a size between 70 and 140 m², will be built. This makes a total warehousing space of more than 1,300 m² and a capacity of about 7,000 m³. The new building complements the existing warehouse for packed goods. Completion of the building is scheduled for October.

According to the specific weight loose raw material at a maximum amount of 30,000 tons can be stored and protected against humidity at the Fürnitz location of Montan Spedition. Rolling gates with tarpaulins avoid goods getting wet through driving rain or strong gusts of wind. A big canopy ensures dry throughput in all weathers. To this end a 5 tons wheel loader was bought, which is already operating. Moreover a new 16 tons stacker was ordered. “With this project we create additional, modern warehousing capacity.

The separated boxes allow for pure storage of different goods without risk of contamination. Also our rail siding is upgraded through the new warehouse and can be used more in the future“, announced operational manager Prok. Silvia Raunig.
