New Management at Intercontainer-Interfrigo

Intercontainer-Interfrigo focusses on quality and customer service

As of March 17, the combined transport operator Intercontainer-Interfrigo SA, Basel, has a new management team. Bart Van der Cruysse replaced Franz Böni as Managing Director. Other members of the new “Leadership Team“ are Jochen Weber, Commercial Director, and Konstantinos Papadopoulos, Operational Director.

The previous head of Financial Services, Isabelle Probst, also takes over Intercontainer’s administrative services under the new structure. Jean-Luc Mélard heads the “Special Projects“ unit and is also a member of the “Leadership Team“. Enrique Rivas, head of the Business Unit Western Europe, now disbanded, will report directly to the Commercial Director. Ulrich Koch continues to be responsible for CIS Business.

Van der Cruysse and his “Leadership Team” intend to enhance the quality of Intercontainer products and continue improving customer service. At the same time, a stricter control will be maintained over marketing costs so that the company can hold its own under today’s extremely competitive conditions.

The new Managing Director of Intercontainer, Bart Van der Cruysse (51), is Beglian. He has been working for a global group for around 20 years in General Management. His main tasks included restructuring of companies and adapting them to changed market requirements and conditions. Jochen Weber (33) had recently been Head of the East/South East European traffic division in a German operator of combined transports. He joined ICF on August 1, 2008. Konstantinos Papadopoulos (Greek, 38 years) had been heading the process management at a German operator of combined transports. Afterwards he had been holding a leading position in the IT-processing project segment at Lufthansa. Mr. Papadopoulos joined Intercontainer on January 1, 2009.
