Online auction house Troostwijk NV sells by auction 173 container carrier wagons from the wagon fleet of ICF Intercontainer-Interfrigo
The liquidator of Intercontainer-Interfrigo SA has opened the online auction of 173 container carrier wagons from ICF’s wagon fleet. The deadline for acceptance of offers for the vehicles is 28 April 2011 2 pm. The online auction house Troostwijk NV www.troostwijkauctions.com with its headquarters in Antwerp, specialising on industrial auctions, was charged to handle the process. 96 double-axed container carrier wagons of the Lgs type can be purchased by auction. They can carry one 40’ container. The wagons are mainly positioned in Hungray, a small part is also in Italy and Austria. Moreover 77 wagons specially designed for the Iberian broad gauge, tight coupled 102’ low-floor wagons with four bogies and a wheel diameter of 735 mm are to be sold as well. These wagons of the Sggmrrss type have a loading height of just 825 mm from top of rail, which makes them particularly suitable for the transport of large intermodal boxes. Potential maintenance works have to be carried out by the buyers for both wagon types. The target group of the auction consists of railway operators, railway companies, transport enterprises and the shipping industry as well as certain technical investors, as Troostwijk announces.
