WienCont group reinforces its trucking commitment
WienCont Freudenau: Cooperation with Römer Spezialtransporte company to optimise delivery/collection of container shipments
The WienCont group takes action to improve the connection of its container terminals at Hafen Wien Freudenau and the loading and delivery stations of producers, trading companies, forwarding companies and shipping agencies in the eastern region. Since 1 April they carry out pre- and on carriage to the terminal with their own truck. Thus the company reinforces its commitment to the trucking segment, a press release reads.
The expansion of this business segment is based on a cooperation with Römer Spezialtransporte GesmbH. The Viennese transport company is rich in tradition and provides the truck and a driver whois trained in economical driving. Delivery and collection of the containers at the terminal is carried out with the latest model of the TGX Efficient Line of MAN utility vehicles. “This is very important to us as our terminal for combined transport allows for environmentally friendly transport options, such as railway and waterway, and our pre- and oncarriage shall fulfill these requirements as well“, the WienCont managers Karin Zipperer and Robert Groiß emphasise.
