10 years of Logwin’s Overnight Service in Austria
Overnight Service by Logwin Austria has been offering flexible solutions for time-sensitive consignments for 10 years 720,000 consignments, around 9 million covered kilometres and more than 99 degree of punctuality. These are the performance figures of the Overnight Service of Logwin AG in Austria in the past 10 years. The product line offers flexible logistics solutions for time-sensitive consignments. There are no weight restrictions. The only condition is that one person must be able to handle the package. "In contrast to courier and express delivery services we can deliver before 7 am if required," Michael Peschek, Director Operations CEE at Logwin, explains the special feature of the service. Logwin Austria’s Overnight Service is based on a special network comprising 60 fixed locations and numerous drop-off boxes. Up to 100 delivery vehicles are in operation every night. Export consignments to Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland can be delivered by overnight express. National consignments are picked up at the sender before 11 pm. The deadline for international substrate is 6 pm. Logwin guarantees delivery within Austria at clearly defined times between midnight and 9 am on the following day, including Saturday. There is no weight restriction provided the packages can be handled by one person. Continuous electronic documentation during the entire transport, a 24-hour emergency hotline and an SMS text messaging service is provided for this transport service. So far the service has mainly been used by companies in the high-tech industry, agricultural engineering and the medical and pharmaceutical sector. Besides time-critical technical spare parts and capital-intensive goods, Logwin also transports goods with a short shelf-life. In this latter-named category the logistics service provider delivers, for example, oxygen bottles to patients or supplies hospitals with special gases in bottles.
