20 years of Hödlmayr Hungaria Logistics in Györ

Hödlmayr’s logistics centre in Györ proves as a hub for vehicle logistics between Eastern and Western Europe

The vehicle logistics enterprise Hödlmayr Hungaria Logistics celebrates its 20-years jubilee these days. Failed negotiations with their potential joint venture partner Hungarocamion induced the Hödlmayr group (Schwertberg) in 1990 to found their 100% subsidiary Hödi Sped Kft., based in Gyál near Budapest. With regard to the high traffic volume in Greater Budapest the first location was replaced in 1994 by the logistics centre in Györ. At that time the enterprise had its present name already.

The logistics centre in Györ with a total area of 375,000 m² offer space for the storage of 16,600 vehicles. A full PDS centre with state-of-the-art technology is integral part of the facility. The location as such in the system of the Hödlmayr group is the main hub for traffic between Eastern and Western Europe.

Hödlmayr Hungaria Logistics transports currently around 150,000 vehicles per year with its 71 special trucks. The circle of customers includes Opel Southeast Europe, Fiat, Nissan, Suzuki, Peugeot and many more. “Perfectly trained employees, being located in the heart of Europe and the quality of our services are the foundation stones of our success“, as Managing Director György Ivan writes in a press release.
