ACG Air Cargo Germany offers expanded China program

Third Boeing 747-400 freight-only enables ACG Air Cargo Germany to increase frequency from Frankfurt-Hahn to Shanghai

The private German freight airline ACG Air Cargo Germany is still on the climb. A few days ago the enterprise has started operating the third Boeing 747-400BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter). The machine can carry up to 110 tons of air freight per flight. It permits the operator to increase the frequency of the link between Europe and Asia. On the Frankfurt-Hahn/Shanghai route the schedule will be enhanced from four flights per week so far to daily rotations. In addition to the Pudong airport in Shanghai ACG Air Cargo Germany serves Hong Kong with a liner service three times per week.

“Taking over our third freighter we send a clear signal in the air freight market that our strategy is sustainable and aimed for continuous growth”, Michael Bock, CEO of ACG Air Cargo Germany, explains on the occasion of the start-up of the aircraft. According to a statement of the Management a fourth B747-400 freighter is to follow before the end of this year. This fleet expansion is a benefit for forwarding customers, but also for providers of flights on demand, as an additional aircraft is available to brokers for charter orders. However these flights depend on the liner flights of the jumbo freighters.
