Friedrich Hofinger to retire after 45 years with DB Schenker

Friedrich Hofinger advanced from apprentice to branch manager in Salzburg with DB Schenker; ends his career by the end of July
 
After 45 years of successfully working for Schenker & Co AG, the previous branch manager of the location in Salzburg, Director Friedrich Hofinger, is to retire by the end of July. The forwarder started his career in 1968 as an apprentice with DB Schenker in Salzburg. He had been contributing to the expansion of European transport operations, the development of multimodal transport concepts for industries and products, as well as to solutions for marketing of rail services.
 
The management of the technical operations had been a milestone in Hofinger’s career with DB Schenker. Moreover he head also been in charge of the new building of the branch in Bergheim, Salzburg.
 
Friedrich Hofinger acquired great merits in training and education at the group-internal DB Schenker academy. Through targeted transfer of knowledge in the field EUROCOMBI, training quality of the commercial staff was continuously optimised and expanded.
