80 years Emil Egger: a new logistics centre for the jubilee
Swiss transport logistics group Emil Egger AG expands its storage capacity at the company headquarters in St. Gallen
These days the Emil Egger AG has double reason to celebrate. The Swiss family company is looking back on 80 years as a provider of transport logistic services. For this reason they opened the Logistik-Center II at the company headquarters in St. Gallen on 16 June. The facility with 10,000 m² covered area was built with an investment of CHF 30 million and offers a heated warehouse for the first time. "Total warehousing capacity in St. Gallen amounts now to 30,000 m²", says Markus Egger, vice Managing Director Emil Egger AG, in the interview with the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.
The Emil Egger group provides services in the segments transport logistics, warehousing logistics, international forwarding, crane works, industrial relocations and lifting platforms. The family enterprise has more than 300 employees at six locations in Switzerland and generated turnover of CHF 70 million in 2011.
