DSV Road is ready to start its Less Than Full Load network in Germany

DSV Road adds national network for regular transportations of Less Than Full Loads to general cargo service in Germany

The German ovelrand transport division of the global logistics service provider DSV has established a new network for load transport within five months. DSV has been offering this service in other European countries since some time ago. The introduction on the most important European logistics market closes a gap. “For our customers these regular transport services complete ideally our general cargo offering, which we have been establishing and enhancing, being a longstanding IDS associate“, says Brian Ejsing, managing director DSV Road GmbH, Willich.

The new Less Than Full Loads network with fixed capacities allows DSV Road to transport great amounts of goods without time-consuming reloads or stopovers. DSV is approaching 45 destinations in 22 countries per day and is continuously increasing the frequency of truck traffic until 2014. To be able to handle additional tasks the logistics group has expanded its fleet by 150 new trailers and swap bodies. Bo Thygesen, Produkt Manager National Less Than – and Full Loads of DSV Road, says: „The utilisation rate is right. A great number of requests shows: Our offering its well received in the market.“
