Enhanced schedule to Norway with Samskip

Samskip launches liner service with regular departures from Rotterdam to Norway’s West Coast

With immediate effect Samskip’s customers may benefit from an improved service portfolio for the economic centres at Norway’s West Coast. Being rooted in multimodal traffic, the transport logistics group announced the opening of a weekly liner service from Rotterdam to the ports at Norway’s West Coast in a press release. Ports of call will be the destinations Stavanger, Haugesund, Bergen and Alesund.

So far Samskip had been serving the economic centres at Norway’s West Coast via the ports in the Oslofjord. Oncarriage of container consignments from Oslo, Larvik, Moss, Brevik, Kristiansand or Frederikstand to their destinations was carried out by rail or road transport. The new model offers shorter transit times and more attractive prices to the users, as Samskip emphasises.
