Enlargement of UASC-fleet
United Arab Shipping Company, UASC in short, announced a new acquisition for its fleet. The „Al Rawdah“ container vessel started operating a few days ago. The new vessel offering a capacity of 6,919 TEU is the eighth and last delivery of the „A7“-series. The vessel is operating on the routes from Eastern Asia passing the Middle East to Europe and back. United Arab Shipping has a fleet of more than 45 vessels and counts among the leading providers of container transportations on the routes from and to the region of the Middle East. Before the end of the year 2009 the fleet will be expanded to 60 units offering a capacity of 310,000 TEU.
