Fiege accelerates Austria-service for Toyo

 
Viennese Fiege station helps Toyo Tire shorten delivery times in Austria

Established in 2006, the cooperation between the Japanese tyre producer Toyo Tire and the Fiege Group is to be further continued and expanded. The two partners signed an agreement to continue the cooperation in the field of warehousing and distribution logistics for the markets in Germany and Austria.

In the course of cooperating with the Fiege-location in Vienna the delivery time for end-customers in Austria has been optimised substantially. The house of Fiege in Vienna is now serving as a second handling area for Toyo Tire, besides to the mega centre in Dortmund. “As we intend to enhance our commitment in Austria on the long term, also regarding the accessibility of the European neighbouring countries, we are focussing on improving the customer service”, as Alexander Baumbach, logistics manager Toyo Tire for Germany and Austria, explains the motives for the enhanced cooperation.
The Fiege Mega Center Dortmund provides around 30,000 square metres storage and logistics area and another 10,000 square metres in Vienna for the products of its customer Toyo Tire Europe. According to the management of the Fiege Group, the operating areas of the two locations might be expanded if necessary.
