Fiege Group opens mega-centre in Switzerland
Fiege Group opened one more mega-centre in Oftringen only recently. Erected within 9 months, the facility is situated at an important traffic junction in Switzerland. This location allows a national distribution within 24 hours, as the Management announces in a press release. In the mega-centre Oftringen in 4 hall areas of 30,000 sq. m. covered warehouse and 45,000 pallet storage positions, Fiege handles tasks in the fields of fashion, consumer goods, beverages, tyres and pharmaceutical logistics. The offer comprises all usual contract logistic service modules, and additional services such as assembling, quality testing, assorting dispatch articles and labelling. Fiege Group, headquartered in Greven (Germany) is specialising in developing and implementing integrated logistics concepts. With 21,100 employees at 230 locations in 18 countries, the enterprise operates 3.1 million sq. m. of storage and logistics area. In 2007 the annual turnover amounted to EUR 1.8 billion.
