Insolvency of Donau-Trans-company in Ennsdorf

Loss of large-scale customer caused big trouble for Donau-Trans

Austria’s transport industry is loosing another medium-sized provider. On 17 August the regional court Landesgericht St. Pölten opened the bankruptcy proceedings about the assets of the Donau-Trans Transport und Speditionsgesellschaft m.b.H. in Ennsdorf. The debtor states the loss of a large-scale customer and massive downs in turnover as the reasons for the insolvency. According to the KSV (Austrian association for the protection of creditors) financial negotiations with the company’s bank were fruitless as well. It is unlikely that the enterprise is continued.

The insolvency affects 67 employees and 150 creditors. Liabilities of EUR 5 million exceed assets amounting to around EUR 1.5 million by EUR 3.5 million. Lawyer Dr. Franz Hofbauer in Ybbs was appointed as liquidator by court.
