Maersk Line launches direct service to St. Petersburg
Shipping company Maersk Line bridges North Africa route to Russia’s economic centres with Marus Express
The Danish Maersk Line has recently launched a scheduled service from Morocco to the Russian Federation under the name Marus Express. The service calls at the ports Casablanca, Agadir and St. Petersburg (OJSC Petrolesport termial) with a weekly frequency in the peak season. The route is operated with three ice-classed vessels of each 800 TEU capacity. Each carrier provides 200 reefer container connections. Starting the Marus Express, Maersk Line responds to the lately strongly risen demand for cargo capacities for rapid shipping of fruit and vegetables from North Africa to St. Petersburg. Particularly citrus fruit and tomatoes are in demand in the Russian Federation. Quelle: LogEastics |
