Sensational coup at Logwin Road + Rail

Rudi Quehenberger and Augustin Network take over core business of Logwin Road + Rail

A spectacular change in the ownership of several Logwin Road + Rail segments is to take place. Delton AG will sell the national companies in Austria, East and Southeastern Europe to an Austrian consortium. The relevant contracts were signed on 3 February. The acquisition is still subject to the approval by the competition authority. The parties to the contract have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The circle of the new customers includes Rudolf Quehenberger, the transport and logistics group Augustin Network, represented by the Managing Directors Christian Fürstaller and Rodolphe Schoettel, and the Raiffeisen Landesbank Oberösterreich. The new owners are virtually provoking a “resurrection” of the former “world of Quehenberger“. Moreover the two logisticians intend to form a preferred partnership, particularly for groupage cargo, part and full loads in Central and Eastern Europe.

Delton AG, based in Bad Homburg (Germany), is the majority shareholder of Logwin AG. It releases around 1,600 employees at 40 locations, including stations in Austria, Poland and Russia. The service portfolio of the locations covers national and international land transportations in all variations (groupage cargo, part and full loads) and rail transportations.
