SmartWay Logistics attends to new major contract in Europe
| Perfume producer Coty awards transport logistics contract to SmartWay Logistics in Europe SmartWay Logistics based in Utrecht (Netherlands) announced the signature of a long-term contract with Coty Inc., a globally leading cosmetics group, in a press release. The contract comprises European-wide transport management services, which SmartWay Logistics is to organise for Coty. Being an "asset-free" provider of transport management functions, SmartWay Logistics assumes the organisation of full truck loads (FTL) for Coty from the production sites to distribution hubs, but also direct deliveries to customers and services in the fields of carrier management, accounting with carriers according to credit note procedure as well as registration of carrier key figures (Key Performance Indicators) and drawing reports. The enterprise expects the outsourcing of these services to an external logistics service provider to yield many advantages, particularly more efficient and transparent operation processes, standardised processes and a faster registration of data in the frame of the supply chain optimisation. Coty was established in 1904 in Paris by Francois Coty, who is regarded as the founder of the modern perfume production industry. Today Coty Inc. is a leading group in the global cosmetics industry with brands like Calvin Klein, Davidoff, Jennifer Lopez, adidas or David and Victoria Beckham.
