Successful market entry of BLG Autorail

Private rail company BLG Autorail acquires more double stack wagons

The private rail company BLG Autorail has made a successful market entry. Affiliated to the BLG Logistics Group in Bremen, the company put its first block train on the tracks on 6 October. On the premiere journey vehicles from German manufacturers were transported from Dresden to Bremerhaven, where the export cars have been loaded to several car carriers. Currently 13 car trains with 247 wagons in total are rolling in the European rail network.

„The acquisition of the modern, height-adjustable double stack wagons with especially noiseless driving characteristics is running according to the plan“, the BLG Logistics Group announced in a press release. In the coming years the wagon park is to be increased to 1,275 units in total. This means 75 block trains will connect locations of the BLG terminal network with the plants of car manufacturers in Europe.
