System Alliance Europe launches transport time-oriented products
| New product portfolio by System Alliance Europe This summer the general cargo network System Alliance Europe will introduce a product portfolio that is primarily concentrating on transport time-oriented products. The new service concept includes logistic solutions that meet European-wide demands of customers. Last week it had been presented to the visitors of the “transport logistic 2009” fair in Munich. This summer the new services will be introduced under the term “Star Services“. The portfolio comprises several modules. “Star Classic“ guarantees reliable and transparent distribution throughout Europe. Appropriate solutions for time-sensitive consignments are provided with “Star Date“, “Star Window“ and “Star Priority“ in the form of deliveries on a specified day, within a defined time-window or at a fixed time (8, 10 or 12 a.m.). Moreover consignments can be collected and delivered all over Europe with “Star Collect“. In addition customers can choose between the services "Star Cash“ (cash on delivery), "Star Avis“ (notification of delivery for the recipient), "Star Hazardous“ (dangerous goods) and "Star Document“ (consignments with special documents). With its new product portfolio System Alliance Europe aims to further extend its market position as a leading general cargo network in Europe. The cooperative currently counts 47 partners with more than 49,000 employees at 171 companies in 23 countries. Total turnover of all partners within the network amounted to EUR 10.5 billion in 2008, which is an increase of 9.9 per cent compared to the previous year.
