Würth Logistics is to start its own pallet production

New provider of Euro-pallets in Vorarlberg and the Lake Constance area

The Würth Logistics AG, based in Chur (Switzerland), develops a new business segment. Together with the partner Prodpal the enterprise is to start its own pallet production by the end of October in Poland. During the initial stage approximately 50,000 EPAL-certified Euro-pallets will be produced per month. The company intends to double the output-rate before the end of the year 2009. Würth Logistics invested about EUR 3 million into the production line. „Under the conditions that we require there are no pallets available that meet the quality-requirements for our processes.“, Nick Waibel, Project Manager, explained the motives for the investment.

Würth Logistics distributes the EPAL-certified Euro-pallets from its own production and used pallets sorted manually, mainly in the Austrian province Vorarlberg and the Lake Constance area. On this purpose a centre for loading equipment was established in Hörbranz. The 700 sq, m.-facility provides about 5,000 Euro-pallets that are immediately available, or might be ordered online at www.lademittel-direkt.com (form only available in German language).

Being a division of the Swiss Würth Group, the Würth Logistics AG offers services, in cooperation with several transportation and logistics companies, in the fields of land transport, air- and seafreight, storage logistics and loading equipment retail. In 2007 about 400,000 orders of 750 dispatchers and about 2,500 recipients were handled, of which were about 20 percent for external clients, as the companies Grass, Jenny I Waltle and Mepla Alfit in Vorarlberg.
