CargoLine launches product innovation for Europe

CargoLine starts European overnight-service for general cargo

The medium-sized freight forwarding cooperation CargoLine Logistics Network opened up a new era in general cargo distribution in Europe. By January 2009 an overnight delivery service operating under the name „NightLine Europe NextDay“ will be launched for pallet consignments in many countries and regions on the continent. Germany, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands will be fully covered. In Great Britain, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland and Sweden the service, which offers gapless consignment tracking, is available for several postal codes and regions.

„The `NightLineEurope NextDayŽ bridges a gap in the market“, as CargoLine-Managing Director Jörn Peter Struck explains. Moreover he gives some details: “Being the first general cargo network that is able to guarantee national and foreign shippers the overnight delivery of their consignments to numerous European regions, we are turning over a new leaf within the scope of pan-European general cargo traffics.

„CargoLine was established in 1993 and comprises now 45 system partners in Germany. Austrian members of the general cargo cooperation are the locations of the G. Englmayer forwarding company in Wels and Leopoldsdorf near Vienna, and the terminal of the Jöbstl & Co. Logistik- und Transport GmbH in Wundschuh, Styria. In 2007 9.7 million general cargo consignments were dispatched within the CargoLine-network.
