CS Cargo registered air/sea freight boom in 2010

Transport and logistics group CS Cargo (Prague) steers again growth course in its core region Central Europe

 

2010 was also for CS Cargo Holding in Prague a positive business year. According to preliminary figures turnover rose 16 per cent compared to the previous year to EUR 217.3 million. The operating result (Ebitda) improved 6 per cent to EUR 19.2 million. Thus their results were closer to what they were prior to the onset of the economic crisis, Jiří Zrůst, Chief Executive Officer, said in a statement.

The main growth driver was the sea and air freight forwarding segment, the revenues of which rose by 62 per cent in 2010. The holding’s revenues in the road haulage and freight forwarding segment increased 14 per cent year-on-year, born by the upturn in Germany, the Netherlands and France. Alongside gaining new orders, primarily in the electro-technical industry and the retail sector, the logistics services segment recorded a more than 30 per cent year-on-year growth of revenues.

CS Cargo Holding is the umbrella company of operating subsidiaries with activities in eight European countries. The company group is by its own definition a market leader in Central and Eastern Europe among providers of comprehensive haulage and logistics services.
