Hamburg Süd replaces Costa Container Lines
As per January 1, 2009, the shipping group Hamburg Süd abandons its brand name Costa Container Lines (CCL) and replaces it by the well-known name „Hamburg Süd“, in order to have a global corporate identity. As per December 1, 2007, Hamburg Süd had taken over the liner activities of the Italian traditional shipping company. CCL is considered as a specialist on the routes between the western Mediterranean Sea and the South American East and northern coast, as well as for the routes between South America and the Caribbean/Mexico.
