New CEO with Deutsche Binnenreederei

 
Sebastian Dziadek is the new Executive chairman of the Deutsche Binnenreederei

Having been a member of the Executive Management of the Deutsche Binnenreederei AG (DBR) since December 2007, Sebastian Dziadek was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company by the Supervisory Board with immediate effect.

The previous CEO of DBR, Robert Baack, quits the company also with immediate effect. Furthermore Thomas Seider was appointed member of the Executive Board of the DBR as per November 3, 2008. He will be one of the persons in charge of the distribution/operation segment of the company. Previously Thomas Seider had been General Manager for a Berlin-based loading company from the inland navigation sector. 

Deutsche Binnenreederei AG, headquartered in Berlin, has been affiliated to the Odratrans Group, based in Breslau (Wroclaw), since April 2007. In whole Europe 1,010 vessel units are sailing under the colours of the group, of which more than 900 are owned by the them. The freight capacity of the fleet totals to more than 540,000 tons. The majority shareholder of the group is the financial investor Fundusz Mistral in Warsaw. The company group expects the turnover of 2008 to amount to EUR 110 million.
